10K/5K
The rigorous 10K/5K courses follow the Lake Poway Trail through the foothills around Lake Poway near Blue Sky Ecological Reserve. The 5K is open to all ages, runners and walkers and is a great off-road, up-and-down trail run that circles the 3800 acre lake. The 10K adds a spur into Blue Sky with a quad-burning 10% climb thrown in for fun!
Kids' Race
The Kids' Race kicks off with warm-up at 9:15am. Then, the race itself is a fun, off-road course about 1/3 of a mile in length and includes one hill. It's perfect for the kindergarteners, preschoolers and younger. The kids really have fun with it; and it's completely non-competitive. Open to children 7 and younger. Parents may also enter the Kids' Race to walk/run with their child as a chaperon.

Fees
Pricing for the 10K and 5K is based on each participant’s age, regardless of which race he or she chooses to run. These are flat fees. To keep things simple, there are no earlybird discounts nor late fees for people who register at the event. Fees are non-refundable.The Kids' Race is also a flat fee.

Timing
The 10K and 5K will feature ChampionChip Timing.
The 10K will be run as one heat with wave start if necessary. The 5K will be split into several distinct heats: elite (men); elite (women); the Heroes Heat (for active duty military and emergency personnel); and a family/open heat with a wave start.
Awards
CASH prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers (male and female) in both the 10K and the elite heats of the 5K: $250 to 1st place; $100 to 2nd; $50 to 3rd. The winner of the Heroes Heat will be awarded a technical racing shirt. Awards are determined by chip time. To be eligible for an award, you must wear a timing chip and run in the appropriate age/gender race.
All elementary age kids will receive a participation ribbon regardless of event entered.
T-shirts
T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at the pre-race registration event on May 7 until supplies run out.
Fees/Bibs
Fees are non-refundable; bibs are nontransferable.
