The 3rd Annual Cinco de Mayo 5K is over, and by all accounts the event was a success. We had nearly 70 sponsors (60+ with silent auction items and 12 physically at the event); 80+ volunteers; and 359 numbered runners. All together that added up to a total of about 500 participants on race day. And we generated almost $22,000 for Valley through this one event. We had a goal to make $20,000 this year, and we met and exceeded the goal. The Valley Elementary Educational Foundation would like to thank the San Diego and Poway communities for supporting this event. In doing so, you've enabled us to further help enrich the education of children at Valley. Thank you!
